Dear Friends of the Story Tree,

This months newsletter is shorter- but there are pictures and attachments -let me know if the file size is too big for you.

Attached is the cover of Max’s pirate CD, the storytelling workshop for kids flyer from Tweed Art Gallery and the story I always send at this time of year- ‘The Fairy at the Top of the Xmas Tree’.

Hope you find a cool place to be and if you are getting a break over Summer then have a great one!

Story Tree News in depth

‘The Troo Adventures of Salty Pete the Pirate’ CD’s at the replicators now!!!

It will be touch and go whether there will be time to post it to you for Xmas by the time they get here, but here’s hoping!

You Tube of ‘Goldenheart’

I got a friend to do a very low budget You Tube of me telling Goldenheart – it’s a series of stills to the soundtrack. It starts strangely and improves. See what you think. Ultimately I do want a moving version.

Baba Yaga Wkshop a great success- Nine women came along and we had a wonderful day chewing over the story and Clarissa Pinkola Estes nine psychic tasks she wrote pertaining to the story. All of the woman left feeling very enthusiastic about their dolls- some finished and some in progress. I made my doll since and I am felling very happy with it. I thought a lot about what would make the workshop even more fun and so the next one will be even better, so I will definitely offer it again- if you are keen tell me when suits you!

My new CD- still gestating

My eco CD is still in progress, but I am about to start some work at Southern Cross University marking storytelling assignments, so that’ll keep me busy until nearly February so I’ll continue with that then. Thankyou to all who sent me their ideas for CD titles! There were lots contradictory votes though the biggest was for ‘The Mulberry Tree’. It’s not just that I’m indecisive and a perfectionist at times- It’s hard to beat mermaids or pirates in a title for sale-ability!
