Max Strong: The Troo Adventures of Salty Pete the Pirate

The Troo Adventures of Salty Pete the Pirate

Join Salty Pete and his Scurvy Crew for a series of adventures on the high seas! These humourous stories appeal to pirate lovers of all ages, as well as being geographically and historically educational. Narrated by Max Strong with vocals by Jenni Cargill-Strong.

You can see a You Tube of Salty Pete in action while the track “Bound for South Australia” plays from his CD here.

The stories all revolve around the character Salty Pete, captain of the pirate ship “The Ace of Spades”  and the adventures he has as he meets each of his pets: Squawky the Parrot, Zanzibar the Monkey, The Black Spot- a Staffordshire Terrier, Unlucky Pierre the French River Rat and the Cat O Nine Tails. Each story contains a moral without being moralistic. Pirate songs, riddles, maps and games are associated with most stories.

Customer feedback:

I bought two of your (fantastic) CDs back at Christmas time for my children (back then I bought  ‘The Mermaids Shoes’ and ‘Salty Pete’).  We loved them so much I am buying more for friends/ nieces & nephews. Thank you for such lovely stories that are kind on all our ears and minds! Sue, South Australia

My son Ewan has been very inspired by his time at Salty Pete’s Pirate School. We are living daily with reminders of Pirate School…either via a joke or pirate trivia or dress-ups. The pirate flag flies either in his cubby or in his room…he does not want it to get wet. Here are photos from Woodford and Ewan’s first week at school where he had to make a hat…..he made a pirate hat. He was so proud he sent this photo to his teacher, we live remote and his teacher is via the telephone so his first photos was of him as a pirate…she sent lots of pirate books to get him going.

It is a 5 hour round trip to our local town….we have listened to The Troo Adventures of Salty Pete the Pirate….many many times.

Thanks for being at Woodford the whole family greatly enjoyed Pirate School and we have had a huge amount of pleasure listening to the CD. Sarah Betts, Mount Moffatt National Park, Queensland.
